Momac’s Macadamia Processing Guide.

Our speciality is processing for individual growers in separate batches, returning their own nut to them. We hold organic processing certification.

When your nut arrives onsite:
If in 1 tonne bags nuts are lifted off delivery vehicle by forklift and weighed. Driver is given paperwork immediately, with weight confirmation.

If it arrives in cages, the driver will have to wait until its transferred into 1 tonne bags for weighing. Minimum is 250kgs

Processing times:
The drying process in our silo takes approximately 3 days depending on moisture content. From that point it will then take approximately another 4 days (per tonne) to be cracked, hand sorted, and bagged.

Packaging and value adding:
We offer vacuum sealed packaging in bulk for your collection, or, alternatively we offer pasting, roasting, and flavouring options. These then can be vacuum sealed into small weight bags ready for immediate sale. A labelling service is also available.

Collection:
After processing, nuts are stored in individual customer lots in our cool room for collection.

Large shipments can be palleted and wrapped ready for placement on collection vehicle
